This policy explains how GFLAM Party Hire collects, uses and looks after your personal information. GFLAM Party Hire is a trading name of Gflam Group Pty Ltd (ABN 35 679 383 049), based in Oxenford, Gold Coast QLD. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" means Gflam Group Pty Ltd.

We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you book with us, use our online store or contact us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • your delivery and billing address
  • booking details, such as hire dates, delivery or pick up times and the items you hire
  • any notes or messages you type into the checkout or our contact form
  • payment and security deposit records (see "Payments" below)
  • information about how you use our website, collected by cookies (see "Cookies, analytics and advertising" below)
  • your name and email address if you join our mailing list

Payments

Payments and our $200 security deposit are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of what was paid, refunded or held.

Why we collect it

We use your information to:

  • take, confirm and deliver your booking
  • contact you about your booking, delivery and pick up
  • take payments and security deposits, and refund deposits
  • keep accounting and tax records, as the law requires
  • answer your questions and messages
  • improve our website and services
  • show our ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google (see below)

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including:

  • Google Analytics, to understand how people use our site
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to measure and show our ads

These tools collect information such as pages you visit, the device and browser you use and how you reached our site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage ad settings in your Google and Meta accounts.

Marketing emails

We only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. This follows the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

If you join our mailing list, we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We only share it with the services we use to run our business, such as:

  • Booqable, which hosts our online store and booking system
  • Stripe, which processes payments
  • Google and Meta, for analytics and advertising
  • our accountant and advisers, where needed
  • anyone the law requires us to share it with

Storing your information overseas

Some of these services, including Booqable, Stripe, Google and Meta, may store information on servers outside Australia. We use well known providers and take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records).

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
